JOB SUMMARY
Due to recent expansion Schluter Ltd has created an opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to support the Chief Finance Officer. Based in Liverpool you will be responsible for the maintenance of the purchase and sales ledger, bank and stock, reconciliation, the production of management information, budget forecasting and analysis, VAT, PAYE and financial reporting returns in respect of the UK operation.
The successful candidate will be AAT qualified with at least 3 years proven accounting experience. Experience of a commodity trading environment is desirable.
PROFILE SUMMARY
• Qualified Bookkeeper AAT
• At least 3 years proven accountancy experience in a commercial environment
• Excellent IT skills (experience of VT transactions would be an advantage)
• Wholeheartedly shares the Schluter Group values, vision and motivation
• Background in commodity trading desirable
• Strong communication skills

Invoice Payment
Maintenance of Purchase & Sales Ledger
Accounting for multi-currency transactions
Supplier statement reconciliations
Petty cash, cash allocation & bank reconciliations
Cash flow forecasting
Liaise with trading staff on stock and liquidity
Stock Analysis
Production of weekly and monthly management information reports
External reporting:
• VAT
• PAYE & P11d’s
• Companies House requirements
Support the annual audit process
General Accounting Duties

Qualification
AAT qualified

Competencies
Sound working knowledge of the finance function
Excellent IT skills (experience of Sage/ VT transactions)
Full experience month- end reporting and balance sheet management
Possess strong communication skills

Desirable
Knowledge of international finance
Experience of commodity trading
